Coating

This involves applying paper to one or two sides of another material, in order to give it specific surface characteristics (water or gas barrier, release, adhesive etc.). The resulting product may then undergo further processing and/or printing.

Polyethylene coating (sugar sachets, bags, wrapping for reams of paper, etc.)
Gumming (gummed strip, gummed paper, veneer tape etc.)
PVDC coating (various types of food wrapping, cereal bags)
Waxing (contact paper, food interleaving, special bread bags)
 Bitumising (fibre glass insulation)
Siliconisation using emulsion, with or without solvents (adhesive products, mould release paper, baking products)
