The term « kraft paper » refers to a type of paper with well known characteristics in terms of colour, texture and strength. However, it does not necessarily evoke Gascogne Paper's wide range of natural, unbleached papers designed for a range of applications from the simplest to the most innovative.

There are many types of kraft paper with widely varying appearances and characteristics, and with grammages from 25 to 150g/ m².

For many years,
GASCOGNE PAPER has developed a range of papers that meet ever more demanding specifications and requirements, and has become the world leader in natural machine-glazed kraft papers.

All our papers are made from long, virgin, unbleached natural fibres. This results in high-performance, modern products that are also very environmentally friendly, since :

they are renewable, biodegradable and recyclable.

We supply papers that are certified suitable for contact with food when the application requires it.

Our natural kraft paper is also guaranteed to comply with the requirements of French environmental decree 98-638, which transposes European Parliament directive 94/62/EC.
Our range consists of « natural machine-glazed kraft papers » ( one smooth and shiny side, one matt) and « natural Sack Kraft paper » ( two matt sides ).

Natural kraft paper's unique mechanical strength , flexibility and printability means that it can be used in a very wide range of manufacturing, packaging and wrapping applications.

Our papers are used for a very wide range of purposes :
75% of our natural kraft papers are PEFC-certified, which means that they come from sustainably managed forests.

Kraft paper is fully compostable, and biodegrades just like leaves from the trees.

To limit the use of chemicals, the fibre is not bleached, and so retains the wood's natural colour.
